Orcas Island Cable
CSS Communications and Mount Baker Cable have partnered to upgrade the Orcas Island cable system. We are currently re-establishing cable service, and have installed a 45Mb link to Mount Constitution for data services. In the future we will deliver fiber optic connectivity and attach to OPALCO's fiber network, bringing Gigabit connectivity to the island.

Ok guys, not to brag, but we've been doing this since 1997, with your funding we can really make it happen! Check out our public/private gigabit fiber deployments, Port of Bellingham, City of Mount Vernon, Port of Skagit County, and the former Whatcom County PUD (Infinet) project. We've deployed FTTH, PON, and straight Gigabit Ethernet.

07-03-09 - Electrical Fire at Fisher Plaza
An electrical fire at Fisher Plaza has cause problems with some internet connectivity. TV Stations, and a data center were effected. CSS"s SIX connections were not damaged or down. There are reported problems with Verizon DSL today.

CSS Seattle Router Replacement Successful
All work has been completed, one of the core routers in Seattle has been replaced and updated, and the OS on other routers have been upgraded. Peering at SIX has been restored and the Internet redundancy in Seattle is fully restored.
